10 Euro Silver proof coin: “35th anniversary of the first San Marino F1 Grand Prix”

The first edition of San Marino F1 Grand Prix, one of the most spectacular competitions of the F1 World Championship, was in 1981 at the Imola circuit (Bologne) then headed to Enzo and Dino Ferrari and it was won by the Brazilian pilot Nelson Piquet. 35 years later the Numismatic Office of San Marino celebrates this anniversary with a 10 Euro silver proof coin, designed by Matt Bonaccorsi, that represents a pilot at the wheel of a F1 car. The competition was due to the will of Enzo Ferrari and the Federazione Auto Motoristica Sammarinese and it ended in 2006. The Imola racetrack is related to unforgettable sport events.
